After finishing my research and presentation on five areas of interest i decided to create a animation for my final major project so now I am going to research animations to get some inspiration and an idea for my animation.
First of all I am going to take a look at work of other animators whos work and style I liked.
First one is animator called Ed who started with a account on youtube and called himself Eddsworld.
Here is a screenshot of one of his more recent work.
The next two animators have really diferent content and humour in their animations but the style of their animations is realy similar. They usualy use nicely looking backgrounds with high detail which probably are made in photoshop and movement itself is animated inside flash.

and a screenshot from Harry Partridge's animation
I left the best for last. The animator James Lee doesn't produce as many works as animators above but he makes up for it in story and quality of work. In his animations he uses software like Maya, after effects, flash and of course traditional drawing. He is best known for his animations like Tarboy, Purged and 24 in 24 where he creates 24 short animations in 24 hours. Here are some screenshots from his animation Purged.
After looking trough multiple animations of artists mentioned above I found quite a few interest animating techniques that I am planing to experiment with and if possible implement it in my work. First technique is mixing vector graphics and bitmap graphics for example bitmap background vector character or the other way around. Another interesting animation technique is hand drawn characters manipulated in Photoshop and imported into image morphing software to create smooth illusion of movement.
